I would think a valet driving a rental car is something that happens thousands of times a day.

I've had to valet park rental cars dozens of times and haven't really ever thought about it.

Only time I remember thinking about the "what ifs" was when I took a rental car on a car ferry. No idea if that's allowed or not but thankfully nothing happened.
