if such rules exist and would be strictly enforced, I would certainly read more reports about such experiences in the various FB groups
I would agree with this…if not first hand account, second or third hand…but nothing.
In regards to changing seats, if the airline allows it, should definitely make sure the FA updates it on the official record.
