Exactly, having the train really helps things. Certainly nothing like a connection at CLT from high B gates to high E...where you're not only going a large distance, but also dodging tons of people along the way.
Like I said, the walk from the E Skylink station to the AA gates seems long, but I think mostly because there's nothing along the way. At least you don't have to worry about dodging many people along the way, just others going to/from those gates.
I remember using the satellites a ton when I was a kid flying DFW-SHV on those little ASA E120's and ATR's but have only been out there once on an AA flight when they moved in and that tunnel is dark and dingy. They need to add some art or something to really break up the walk.
CLT is a madhouse, those corridors are cramped and I always seem to be flying through on the hilidays to go and see family.
