It isn't automatically credited. We stayed there in October. When we checked out, I went to the desk and asked if they could possibly let me use the $100 spa credit for dining charges since I didn't use the spa. She checked our room charges I assume for dining charges and then said of course and gave us the $100 credit. We were staying in the tower section.

I recommend to people to just book a resort room and get upgraded to a panoramic. The main pools are much larger than the tower ones and there is a lot more space to lounge around. The only advantage that I can see of staying in the towers is being able to use the tower valet for free except for the tips and being really close to the tower elevators. If you don't use the tower valet then the regular parking is more of a hike than the regular room elevators.
