Maybe not, but when the OP mentioned the expected terminals of arrival and departure and where they were sitting on the inbound aircraft, I took that to mean that they were worried about physically making the connection.

AA changed my connecting flight that shortened my connection from 2 hours to 1 hour. Seems like my incoming flight lands in A and my out going flight leaves from C . Incoming flight has an 80% on time record. In MCE in bulkhead seat, so close to the front of the aircraft. Doable or not.
