But what a fall from grace for the rest of the group. Milan is still closed and refinanced debt in early 2021, Istanbul is coping with an owner who displays himself in mosaic in the lobby, Vienna is suffering under Austrian restrictions, Hamburg never was a true PH, in Doha their great GM left and before him most great staff, etc...
I really don't know what is going on in Paris but I really hope they lose Palace status and come to their senses... maybe they figured they can make more money as a better 5* than as a Palace and with Jauslin no longer in charge, they gave up.
Clearly a Concierge saying 'NO' takes the cake..... and not saying no to a private viewing of the Louvre, to access Hermès' private garden or other difficult requests, but he declined to make a basic restaurant reservation.... goodness!
One thing about Paris there are plenty of alternatives !
