In the past I felt that many of the changes were a result of Claudio's arrival at PHV, indeed I had several stays there after he took over the GM's position. I first came to know Claudio from his stay at the PHM always found his properties well run. Now I am of the thought that what we are witnessing is due to the property ownership and "knee jerk" reactions to the Corvid and all it brought down on us. What we are witnessing is asymptomatic throughout the industry, save a few wonderful properties mostly in the mid/far east, Japan and Taiwan. I am most sadden by the loss of Le Bar and it's bartenders one of my favorite bar's ever. Well worth the price of admission. As a disclaimer I have not stayed there for 2 years having said that I had already made the decision to stay elsewhere due. Given what I saw then and what I am reading here now I think it's time for them to lose their "palace" status and drop a couple of those vaulted stars.
