Also, how about rooms such as in Sydney with views? Or features such as terrace or balcony? As they say, ‘size isn’t everything’! An ‘upgrade’ from a room with a sea view and a balcony on the top floor to a first floor car park / brick wall view with two queen beds in it is not necessarily an upgrade - and so on.
When IHG have fixed things like their IT maybe they can look again. If we on FT know which IC hotels look after Ambs / RAs then so must the IHG c-suite.
