Well, £2200 for SSC out, CW inbound is a pretty good deal. It's not what you paid for but at the end of the day it seems to have worked out for you. If you're philosphical about it, you probably got the better end of the deal.
As far as AN goes, they are fairly clueless. I'm in YYZ at the moment having flown there on Friday for the grand sum of £165, all taxes included (on AC). When I rang them up to book the fare, they said
"that can't be right because the airline wouldn't cover its costs"
I said "mate, have a look at your website, it's a big banner offer and I've already selected my flights and am about to enter my cc data."
"Well, I doubt it will work"
"BTW, can you tell me what fare class it's booked in?"
"Economy"
"No sh!t Sherlock, what FARE CODE"
"I don't know, but it will usually say that on the ticket"
"It's an e-ticket and I want to know this BEFORE I buy the ticket"
"Have you bought your ticket yet"
"NO! I WANT TO KNOW THE FARE CODE BEFORE I BOOK THE TICKET"
"Well sir, for that sort of money I think you can be sure that it will be very low"
"It's been a tremedous peasure to speak to you" Click
Enjoy your flight!
