Siversea sea cruises are wonderful - enjoy! The two points per spend on cruises is only valid when the cruise is booked directly with Amex travel, not an outside agency. However, Amex travel charges full price for the cruise without any type of rebate, whereas there are agencies that not only discount cruises, they also partially rebate their commission and provide other goodies. I cruise extensively and when it comes to luxury cruises, which Silversea is, the double points offered by Amex travel is not that great a deal compared to what other agencies offer.
