To the extent possible, when I travel for pleasure or business, I just prefer it to be politics free. Whether I am or not, I don't want to be labeled a Globalist, Isolationist, Socialist or whatever kind of *ist, especially during those times when I'm traveling with my family.
Of course, I've no qualms when private businesses engage in whatever messaging they deem fitting, just as I'm free to spend my money accordingly. So, it all works out in the end--the invisible hand thing.

if you want to argue that it's bad marketing, that's one thing, saying you're worried about how you're going to be "labeled," well, uh, that's ... a decision. Literally nobody cares about the name of the hotel you're staying in.
