Not everyone has the same automatic associations with a given word that you have. Also most normal people aren't really worried that they might "catch the socialism" by staying at a hotel with this name.
To the extent possible, when I travel for pleasure or business, I just prefer it to be politics free. Whether I am or not, I don't want to be labeled a Globalist, Isolationist, Socialist or whatever kind of *ist, especially during those times when I'm traveling with my family.
Of course, I've no qualms when private businesses engage in whatever messaging they deem fitting, just as I'm free to spend my money accordingly. So, it all works out in the end--the invisible hand thing.
