[QUOTE=ronin98syu;33695357]Hello all. I'm one of those unfortunate ones whose status year ends in April. The reality will hit pretty soon, and I've decided to go out and make a tier point run, to get this over with and to take advantage of the business class sales. I was browsing the BA site and found the following itinerary, all with BA flight numbers:
LAX - MIA (operated by AA) BA2442
MIA - HEL (operated by AY) BA6030
HEL-JFK (operated by AY) BA6051
JFK-LAX (operated by AA) BA4338
I booked the above flights as following on Nov. 4th:
LAX - MIA (operated by AA) BA5242
MIA - HEL (operated by AY) BA6030
HEL-JFK (operated by AY) BA6051
JFK-LAX (operated by AA) BA4338
There've been a couple of changes since then (departure time of BA5242 LAX-MIA was moved up 25 mins and the arrival time of BA4338 JFK-LA pushed back 5 mins,) but these were not major and were updated in my itinerary.
However, at the beginning of this week, just out of curiosity, I searched the MIA-HEL segment, operated by FinnAir, to see what kind of plane they fly between these two cities. Surprisingly, this particular direct flight is no longer offered. As a matter of fact, there is no direct flight from FinnAir between MIA and HEL, on Jan. 4th, 2022. I searched the BA site, and could not find this direct flight, either. Does this mean that BA 6030 was canceled? How long should I wait before I contact BA about this? Unfortunately, these will be my qualifying flights and they have to be marketed or flown by BA.
Thank you.
