I'm a bit hesitant to take my original card with me as I don't want to risk having it damaged. I also have the gogetvax QR code on my phone, but can't get an answer from them about international travel.

I have used a high-quality photo copy of my CDC card without any issue travelling to and about UK, Germany, and Thailand.
It is printed on similar "card stock" material and uniformly cut to the same size. Thankfully, I have access to a production shop where they do this very professionally.

I always have my original card though, in case any question pops up. Keep it with my passport, inside my passport case. About as safe from loss as I can make it.
I also have copies in my luggage, as well as at home....just to be safe.

The photocopy as above is the safest course. Doesn't raise any alarms as they are used to seeing what is presented. Showing a picture on a phone or a random letter is going to immediately cause greater scrutiny.
