Okay, so it must have been 1991, not 1989 or 1990, when I flew to SYD on CO, since I know that NW was flying there then too (a cause of the fare war I mentioned upthread). Sure was a great fare, wasn't it -- especially with double FF miles. Ah, memories.

Actually, yes, it was American summer of 1991 that I flew to SYD because I remember that while I was in Sydney, I was enumerated for the Canadian Census, and that was enumerated in 1991. (I had earlier resided in SYD from 1986 to 1988, so this trip in 1991 was a spur-of-the-moment decision to go see friends based upon the fare war and the double miles.)
