There is no alternative to picking up your bag, and bringing it to the check-in counters of Ryanair.

Bag drop closes 40 minutes before scheduled departure, and don't expect a minute's liniency on that deadline. I have no experience with entering the Schengen area in FCO and then exiting the Schengen area again. But I'd call it a rather close shave on separate tickets.
