Given the lounge hasn't exactly got a good write up on here, I'm thinking of staying away as long as possible. So to those of you doing this route more often, what's a reasonable time to rock up at the airport (will have checked luggage, but club check in desk privileges)?
I was compelled to book the 2:15 AM departure because it was the only way to get to the midwestern US during the same calendar day and without having to overnight in London or the US East Coast. :-(

What I've done to make it less painful is to book my last four nights in Dubai at an IHG property using points ... this way my last/fourth night is free, and so I don't have to feel too bad about checking out at 11 PM and heading to the airport. :-)

I will make sure to eat a proper dinner before heading to the airport ... I don't want to deal with bad lounge food at midnight or an infamous BA sandwich at 3 AM. :-))
