wasn’t there and nothing ever surprises me anymore but highly doubtful. Never once heard of this - not even sure it’s permitted.

what even does one say to this. The FAA requires the crew be there and they could care less about service. Were it not for that there would probably be vending machines on airplanes and maybe one employee. It’s the airlines that ask the employees to pedal credit cards. Blame them.

Water service isn’t yet required on the Hawaii flights. Two carts at this point - so they weren’t neglecting their duties as long as they did the two carts. This may change down the road but since COVID, the number of carts has been reduced. sure doesn’t mean you can’t ring your call light to ask for some water.
