MIA-LAX on the 77W in F last week, one FA made it her mission to punish everyone whose phones were not in airplane mode. She walked through EVERY SINGLE customer in J/F asking them verbally "is that phone in airplane mode" pointing to it or trying to see the screen of the device itself, over and over. Then, when she started the safety video she watched carefully and the SECOND one person looked at their phone screen she restarted the entire safety demo over and made the announcement she had to do it because someone wasn't in airplane mode and wed be stuck on the ground until it was stopped. This happened three times along with numerous announcements. I could tell she VERY much enjoyed the power.
