Apologies if this has been addressed earlier, but couldn't seem to find an answer in the past few pages.
We are scheduled to arrive DOH 6PM the night before, and have a 13+ hr layover, before our 8AM flight the next day to LAX in business. I presume we will have access the morning we depart, but I was thinking of grabbing dinner at the AM lounge upon our arrival (from SHJ in Y, not that I think it matters).
The question is: will they turn us away from entering if our flight is not for another 12+ hours? Also, we intend to leave the terminal and check into a hotel; will we be able to come back to the lounge again in the morning a couple of hours before our 8AM departure?

You could access the Al Mourjan Lounge as soon as you arrive from Sharjah because you're departing to LAX within the next 24 hours. Multiple entries and exits are possible to the Al Mourjan Lounge.
Also, be aware that you would need to meet all entry conditions for Qatar if you are planning to leave the airport even if your only purpose is to stay in a hotel and return back the following morning.
