Hey PointsPanda, do you have any idea what "type" of fare you were given on GOL? I think you mentioned you had one free checked bag, but also you couldn't select seats until 48 hours before departure. I was looking at the "fare type" chart on GOL's website (partially reproduced below), and surmised AA award tickets for GOL are either "Plus" due to the free checked bag, or "Light" due to the no-free seat selection.




Curious because a "Plus" ticket has a good array of benefits and would make an AA award booking, suitable. If it's a "Light" ticket instead, I'd prob book away. Or maybe it's totally different type of ticket, and unlisted.
