I wonder what the cost-benefit delta is between the extra training time required to avoid this nonsense, and the extra 45 minutes an agent had to spend fixing this for me today.
I can understand not training all agents how to direct-book to try to get around married segment logic, or something like that. But this seemed... pretty simple.
Like... the idea that you can't fly IST-YOW is preposterous.
I can think of a Very Stupid airline that still doesn't have BER on their website, so you can't book anything online, but at least every time I've called, the agents get it done without issue.
But the idea that "Turkish won't let you fly on them if you're going to Ottawa" (from Doha, whatever) ...
