We did hiking in Chile and Argentina in December 2019/January 2020, we did enjoy both sides of the border but in Argentina, there was plenty of hiking options around San Martin de los Andes and near San Carlos de Bariloche. Later I also found out plenty of hikes south from the latter and want to do a new trip to discover them.. Love the area! We drove from Chile but one can easily fly domestic to Bariloche.
