Anyway if United doesn't do it are there any other airlines that do through the shopping portals or through the tiny portals? Thanks to anyone who replies.
AA's new program (that goes into effect next year) counts shopping portal miles as Loyalty Points for qualifying for status.

My guess is that it's going to be tough to spend enough through a shopping portal to move the needle, though I do plan to make a decent sized Apple Store purchase sometime next year.

The miles you receive from the shopping portal (or rather, the dollars that Cartera reports to UA) will not count toward PQP.

Certain Chase credit cards have a feature where you can earn 500 PQP per $12,000 spent up to a limit. Shopping portal purchases count for that, but so does any other purchase... groceries / train travel / taxes.
