i have a trip in January that was impacted by the schedule change. I've already received the cancellation notification for the AA numbers flights, but not yet for the flights on BA codeshares. I'm expecting the cancellation emails to arrive in a couple of days.

That would make sense. A leave it to BA and see what happens? I am meeting people on that flight, theyre connecting from LHR, me from MAD so hopefully both itineraries fix to match. I'm guessing this will be a "Your flight times have changed" and not a "sorry your flights been cancelled, accept these changes."
On a trip next week I was booked on AA using a BA flight number. Last week the flight was cancelled/retimed by 5 minutes by AA and lost the codeshare, so the system moved me to the next codeshare available, a couple of hours later. I had to request to be put back on the original flight.
