You should be able to see what specific flights posted along with their EQD/EQM contributions by logging into your account and looking at your mileage activity. Flights that haven't been flown should not show up there at all.
Is this AA flights, or OW/other partner flight numbers?
If AA flights, is it possible that your outbound was much more expensive than your return flight, and therefore is making a greater contribution to the total EQDs?
If partner flight numbers, EQD and what you paid don't directly correspond to one another.
