Back in business

Finally got a chance to visit Swissôtel Tallinn again. Here's some quickies:

- COVID19 passport is mandatory and masks are required when moving around in the hotel
- Upgraded (me being ALL Gold) to "harbor view" room of same level (Executive room)
- Welcome amenities were better than ... ... ever actually. Instead of the normal small marmalade pouch we got a nice cheese plate and a small bottle of white wine
- During weekdays we had the gym, spa area and executive lounge practically all to ourselves. Weekend was more crowded and reminded of pre-COVID19 era when it comes to capacity. Gym and spa area had some limits on max number of people allowed, so a registration was needed. Nothing new here on the spa area, but gym doesn't have registration under normal circumstances
- Minor improvements have been made on the hotel. Now the room shower (same room I've stayed before) had a threshold on the floor level so no leaking of water anymore. In addition, the gross shower curtains had been removed in the spa area showers (yay!). Oh, and the carpet on the rooftop bar had been replaced (at least so I think)
- Executive lounge had limited selection (no real food, only snacks and small food like spring rolls). I totally understand that, since there were literally no one there (except us) to eat anyway
- The Quarter was only serving breakfast, no lunch or dinner there. Bar menu was available at Horizont bar (and at lobby bar), but unfortunately the list was quite minimal
- Menu at Horizont restaurant reminded very much of the menu two years ago. Still, good food though
- Breakfast had some limitations (e.g. healthy shots were missing)

All in all, given the COVID19 limitations, a very pleasant stay. Actually, on some areas the stay was a lot better than pre-COVID19 (never had so much private gym and spa time in a five star hotel before). And the views... the views... the views... Enjoyed them so much in our private executive lounge.

Also, price-wise, I would say that the room was roughly 20 per cent cheaper than pre-COVID19 era (at the same time frame).

I look forward for the next stay.
