And last week Nov 2021 applied for the newer/current card version Marriott Bonvoy Boundless.
I got a declined letter
"You already have a Marriott credit card account with us"
Does this sound correct? anyone have data for calling reconsideration line? or Have any points to help convince them?
Or did I mess up and have to move on with a wasted hard pull?

The answers are in the fine print of the card's T&Cs on the application.

There are many restrictions in getting a BonVoy card, as well as the sign up bonuses - all thanks to Marriott uses 2 issuers and work up a overly complicated rules.

You can easily google your answers as well as the topic has been written up by virtually all known bloggers.
