Being charged for seat selection at T-48 on Plus fare
I'm trying to select a seat for a flight to LCY on Tuesday morning, which I should be able to do for free at T-48. However, it is charging me £10. I've tried calling BA but cannot get through the IVR. At each option it is saying that due to Covid they are operating on limited staff and cannot take the call. This infuriates me. No organisation should be using Covid as an excuse for failing to provide a service 20 months in to the pandemic. I say this as someone who runs a Customer Service function. We have 100% of our people capable of working from home.
Any suggestions as to how to speak to a human at BA who can look at this?
