Yes - below is asking about approval chances for Capital One Venture X

I was turned down for Citi Prestige, citing too many new cards (they want cards to be seasoned a year) yet they would not state how “too many” was defined, andtoo many inquiries. I have a Citi Double Cash, no others with Citi.

We just got the Amex Bonvoy Brilliant. In the past year we got 7 cards (technically 8 but doubt one went through a credit report inquiry.)

Credit scores north of 800, never carry a balance…never a late fee however did take a few late fees in 2021. No concern on income.
Total card count apx 30, most in the Chase family. Never had a Capital One card, however have been a Capital One account holder since its acquisition of ING.

Ok taking the credit hits (and change to new card time clock) if approved. Would prefer to avoid all together if chances are higher for denial. Reading different data points that seem to contradict one another around approvals.

If these things matter, I see the long term positive banking relationship and never having had a Capital One credit product a bonus, in favor of an approval.

On the other hand, i picked up a good few cards in the last year (and an additional inquiry or two.). One card will hit its one year anniversary date tomorrow, another mid December and a third end of January 2022

What do people here think in terms of chances of approval or strategy? Yes, understand no one can predict, many elements involved.

Maybe approvals are easier now since it is such a new card? Maybe benefits and subs change (and not for the better) after the card has been out and issued to predefined number of customers?

——
Do they offer instant cards - numbers that can be used ASAP while waiting for physical card?
We are in Maldives at present - would be cool to get approved while here and use the annual travel perk straight away.

——
Do they care about VOIP phone numbers or VPN usage when applying? Both are 200.% legit.
