Late checkout will depend on a lot of factors including your status and room availability.
Here now for the last 2 days, a few observations.

A lot of service fails but nothing unexpected for a new hotel and most should work out over the coming months. A couple of concerns for the present, if you forget anything or need cash from an ATM you are out of luck, the hotel is 15-20 minutes from any stores or ATM, gift store and ATM are expected in the next 1-2 weeks.Resort is off of the highway, once you get through the gate a 3km drive to the resort.
I would estimate about a third of the resort is ready to use, 3 restaurants open as well as the buffet but the buffet is only breakfast and lunch at this time. The buffet is an area of concern both with slow service and food options.Breakfast service has been slow both days during non peak times and the basics are there as far as the buffet goes but nothing compared to Hyatt Ziva and Zilara where we usually stay.
That being said the service, presentation and the food in the restaurants have been very good to excellent. The restaurants have a top end feel to them my only complaint in the steak house was the booths have fixed benches that are very far from the table and you really have to sit forward to reach the table ( and I'm 6'5").
Upgraded to a oceanview due to status the room has a living room and bedroom with 2 bathrooms and a good amount of storage, the room feels like a Hilton but the interior does have more of a Conrad look. 2 issues with the room, only 1 usb port which is not a big deal but just seems like there should be more with new construction.
The other issue is they have a rain shower and a hand held shower, the hand held shower is mounted to the wall at about 3 feet high and it is not adjustable so you have to use the rain shower or hold onto the hand held to use the normal shower head.
Pools and bars are very nice and all the chairs face the water, great, friendly service at both. Water is a bit murky and has a sea grass issue, L don't know if that is a year round problem or not but our first 3 days we were at the hotel zone in Cancun and when we walked the beach there was no issue there.

All in all it has the potential to be a very good resort, I feel most to all of the issues I listed above will be worked out. My biggest concern would be the water issue, it does not have the clarity and color as at the hotel zone, hopefully it is just a temporary issue for this stretch of beach.
Thanks for the first review -- but, how to use that credit, though? It looks as if the spa is not opened, yet?
