Same experience as posted above, Chase will honor the promo advertised on the date you applied.

applied for the Chase SWA card with the one year companion pass offer back in March (plus 40k points), I believe the deadline was 3/9 or so. I applied on that date, declined a week later for too much new credit activity. Called recon and finally got approved, about 19 days total after applying. They still honored the promotion
