My post above reminded me about my own EQM situation. I'm MVP and currently sitting at 30191 EQM, so I'm 9809 EQM short of MVP Gold. I've got a SEA-ATL round-trip booked in I next month. When I pull up my itinerary on Alaska's site, it says the flight is 2177 miles one-way. So this should earn me 2177 * 1.5 COS bonus * 1.5 promo bonus = 4898 EQM one-way, or 9796 EQM for the round-trip, which would leave me an agonizing 13 miles short of MVP Gold. However, in my experience, I've noticed that the distance advertised by Alaska's site always seems to short-change the actual distance flown (at least for EQM/RDM purposes) by 2-3 miles. I actually need the one-way distance flown to be 9809 ÷ 2 legs ÷1.5 promo bonus ÷1.5 COS bonus = 2180 miles. So, can anyone who frequents SEA-ATL confirm that the base mileage earned for that route is actually 2180+ miles? I didn't want to alter my travel plans, up-fare to C, or put another $2500k on my Alaska Visa for the sake of a few miles, so worst case, if I actually ended up less than a dozen miles short, I was planning on calling up AS customer service towards the end of the year and begging for a courtesy bump.
