I would imagine the answer to this would be no, the plans are very much per person. If you ordered a ala carte meal alongside I would imagine it would be fine, but if you just ordered a side or starter then ate mainly from your partners food it would be considered unacceptable, which I would agree with them on.
Scan through the thread and you will see many references as not allowed. We are light eaters as well - read where you can purchase a single meal to go - split it at home.
