Finished my stay on Sunday.
Few pointers for everyone.
Good
Hotel Spa is very nice and well worth a visit
Breakfast was one of the better ones I have had
25% discount for Diamonds allows for very good deals in the restaurant. I got a lunch deal (Salad, Main and Water) for €15.75. Food was of good quality.
Concerige are helpful.
Bad
Room could do with a refresh in places, especially the tables which had a lot of dents/scratches. Tech in the room is also dated, no USB ports, TV is showing age with image quality and size. That said it was very clean and I thought the bathroom was great.
I did not get an upgrade from my booked Junior Suite as a Diamond on a Impassrio booking. Rooms did appear sold out at Junior with view and Corner however. In my opinion, you may be better going for a base room and get an upgrade to a JS going by other people's comments.
You have to ask for Turndown service everyday if you wish to have it.
Amenity kits have to be requested
Ugly
They appear to have a 'because Covid' policy for certain things (the last two points kind of fall into this category.) However the one that took the biscuit was that upon check in I asked about a fruit bowl as my Diamond in room benefit and was told it wasn't possible any more due to too many people having to touch it. Yet when I went to the SPA they had fruit bowls out and a policy of up to 10 people in the SPA at the same time. Not sure how that works.
Overall I would say I like this hotel as breakfast and a SPA are two things I really value whilst the location really worked for me. That said, be aware you're going to have to ask for a few things and they'll use Covid as an excuse when they can.
