Raise a ruckus with Hilton corporate. You've done enough.

[So, am I correct that they called you and just said, "We don't have room for you--go elsewhere," and didn't offer any options or compensation at all? If so, that's outrageous. You deserve the $200, plus a refund of your first night wherever you stayed, plus a boatload of points--I'd say at least 25,0000.]

IMHO, the property probably sees this as you are owed nothing because technically you weren't walked and you went along with whatever you were told when they called you the night of your reservation. Your reservation could have been cancelled by them but my guess is that it went to being a no show. Under that scenario you wouldn't get an email showing a cancellation occurred and it gives the property cover to say that simply you never showed up. If you were to escalate with Hilton, look for them to possibly fall back on that and possibly disavow any conversations you had the night of your arrival. Getting compensation after the fact for something like this is a difficult proposition. As you've already seen, calls to the property can be easily ignored just like calls/emails from HRCC can also be easily ignored. I would give up on contacting the property directly. By now their silence is deafening.
I've given the property almost 4 weeks to return my call and they haven't, so I've started the process with Hilton CS. A bit disappointing at all this, quite honestly if the manager would have just called me back the next day and said "yeah, hey, really sorry about all that is there anything we can do to make it up to you?" I probably would have just dropped it there and said thanks.
