I had the same problem. In my case the surface, my wife's lenovo tablet and our phones connected to the internet, but my lenovo notebook refused.
Tried many things, but resetting the network was the solution, after the reset my lenovo connected instantly. I also had used this device in countless hotels.and it developed connection errors till it did not want to connect.

Settings - Network and internet - Status - Reset network
