Someone on one of the other threads noted that some people got their Thai Pass approved in a matter of minutes and speculated some kind of AI may be employed. I wonder if they're just letting a percentage of applications go through without any checking, on the possible grounds that one would have to be pretty stupid to turn up with a Thai Pass, but then be unable to show supporting documents if requested to do so.
Seems we are on a very similar time line and how we approached all of this. I fly out tomorrow afternoon though. Will of course have printouts of all the COE-related entry stuff, but feel much better with the ThaiPass in place.
I imagine they are using some type of automated documentation detection and evaluation. It seems necessary if they scale this up to meet a much higher quantity of arrivals.
I would also think they may randomly check a certain number just to be sure the system is operating as expected.
Just happy I am fully ready now, as my negative test result also came in overnight. Now just time to kick back and enjoy the trip.
