Are you aware of married segments? If you are only looking for non-stop, you may be missing out. AA has web fares that aren't Saver awards so those won't be available to AS.

AA has options beyond LHR because you are not limited to one partner. If you want to fly to Europe on AA using AS Mileage Plan, you can only get to AA's European gateways. At this venture, award seats on AA are pretty sparse, but not non-existant.

I just booked two awards to/from Europe, not on BA for next July outbound, August return.
