I’m not sure about using the FHR number at Marriott.com. But the easiest thing to do is to call the STR and ask them to make sure your bonvoy number is attached to the reservation.

I too have experienced this. FHR bookings at the RC show up instantly. But my one data point for a STR FHR booking required me to call the hotel. Then it showed up almost instantly in the app.
