How long does a 1 gigabyte card last in terms of recording time?
You really won't need a 1Gb card, as these cards are only used for the photo part of the camera, all the video gets recorded onto the MiniDV tapes.
The resolution of the photo section is fairly low, so 1Gb card would hold well over 1000 photos. Plus, Panasonic has the nerve to charge $499 for a 1Gb card when you can find deals on them online for as low as $65.
