I wouldn’t be surprised if there are desks back to being set up and staffed in the international baggage arrivals area at US airports with some people sent to get checked there for health documents or something else health related. But there is no real great standing capacity in place for the federal authorities — or even most state and local authorities — to do this kind of health check thing at US airports without possibly causing crowding in parts if wanting to check everyone on arrival.
Even back when Ebola was the concern of the day at some US airports of entry, even my coming back in on flights with a fair amount of Africa-origin traffic just didn’t get me more than some new questions at times on some passport control kiosks in the immigration hall at US airports. And since the start of the US testing requirement in January, I have not even once had to pull out my test results after boarding the international flights headed to the US. While some others have had to do so at times on arrival to the US, it’s been zero times for me arriving at US ports of entry spread across three of the four times zones for the CON48 US states.
