First apply for a new Custom Cash, then convert DC to CC if desired. There are DPs that such sequence is possible. At this point it's uncertain if reversing the sequence will allow you to have a new account with its own SUB.
Thanks, Max, but I'm not sure I can. I've been in the process of moving into the BoA ecosystem and applied for (and received) a new BoA card in June. I'm also planning on applying for a BoA Premium Rewards card once BoA confirms that I've reached Platinum Honors (hopefully later this week) in anticipation of an upcoming expense that would let me hit the SUB. I understand that Citi is difficult about issuing cards with recent applications on your file, so I hadn't been planning on applying for a Citi card anytime soon.
