I honestly cannot understand why the Ritz can't just have their primary mode of transport via yacht. They offer it as an option, so that means they have one, so why not not just use it for everyone and make them happy from the start? And I doubt it would even cost them anything extra. There are quite a number of reviews on trip advisor complaining about the lack of yacht transfer.
Overall the reviews on TA happen to be quite positive though I am not one to be reliant on TA reviews - however one has to wonder why most people are giving them accolades if it wouldn't actually be true so I believe there is some truth to it. Will just need to wait a little for some more first hand reports. I'm happy that there's someone being there later this week that can tell us how much truth there is to that Facebook review.
Not sure why a trip report elsewhere would be any more or less valid than the trip report above. They had a negative experience but others will definitely have positive experiences. YMMV.
For what it’s worth, the rooms are definitely smaller than many comparable resorts. Undoubtedly a step up from non-luxury options like the LM but also more expensive as well.
