I notice that "public health" is not one of the items in your list. That's the issue - its a resort clearly marketed at families, and the 12 and under demographic can't get vaccinated right now. I agree, put social, political, whatever rhetoric and labels aside, but from a public health perspective, it makes a lot of sense to wear masks in indoor public areas where the unvaccinated will be present. I don't think politics or profits are the right objectives here.

That said, I don't disagree with you on the point that the hotel wouldn't be relaxed if it wasn't the best thing for their bottom line. That's absolutely true. And I'll have no problem going back and not wearing masks once the younger group has the opportunity to get vaccinated. Everyone else has had their opportunity, so I'm not going to wear a mask indoors forever.
