You have to call AMEX to add your WoH number onto the reservation (WoH number is too long for AMEX website to handle) or get the real Hyatt confirmation # from them and add it on Hyatt site by searching by reservation# without logging in. If you login to Hyatt, it doesn't let you pull up a reservation by confirmation# (it used to under Gold Passport site).
Thank you for your helpful information. It put me on the path that I needed to get Hyatt to recognize my status. I had some challenges along the way but was ultimately successful.
The AMEX Express Platinum Travel number is 1 (800) 297-2977. You go thru a phone tree and eventually get to hotel bookings. After a hold, an agent came online and wanted to verify my platinum AMEX number. She said there was no way to enter my Hyatt number. She gave me my Hyatt confirmation number. I was able to pull up the booking but was unable to figure out a way to add it to my account. In parallel, the agent called the hotel and gave them my Hyatt number. The booking now shows on my Hyatt account.
