Always, always let a hotel know when you’re checking in late. I do it at time of booking of it’s planned as well as on the day of arrival. Make sure to speak to Front Desk
Agree, agree, agree. If necessary, I pull up the hotel's number and call - at least I then know who's staffing the front desk for that night's shift as well.
