Happened to me as an explorist checking in around 4am due to 10 hour flight delays. Hyatt's facebook support fixed it for me pretty quickly.
They just added the elite night for me as well. Will do mobile check on or call hotel next time I expect a late check in (I usually do this in general but just forgot this time.)
