That quote is very vague in relation to the actual query. If it stayed that at 12:01am local time you will no longer receive credit then Yes I’d agree with you.
However, per Hyatt’s own terms you can’t check in for a night (even with Globalist Benefits or paying for Early check in) prior to 9am.
So from midnight to 8:59am is technically considered part of the prior night’s stay.
I would say though the best practice for future reference is that if you are checking in after midnight to communicate that with the night shift staff prior to arrival to get credit.
