I would love to see this discussion blow up and get the attention of the airlines. A low-carb way of eating is no longer at all a niche diet but rather a dedicated lifestyle for a very large number of people, and one increasingly enouraged for medical reasons by many doctors. So I find it kind of hard to believe that in this day and age, even in premium cabins and with sometimes more than 20 special meal options to choose from, no carrier ever seems to have a low carb option. In fact, many of the meals - especially those second meal services on long-haul flights - are almost comically nothing but refined carbs.
